North of Cairns discovers one of the most beautiful regions of Australia . Here, at the meeting point of an ancient rainforest and the Earth's largest living coral structure, guests will slow to a unique rhythm found only in Tropical North Queensland. Based in the exclusive village of Palm Cove , highlights include swimming and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef and discovering the beauty of the World Heritage listed Daintree rainforest.

Day 1
Transfer from hotel to Melbourne Airport for the flight to Cairns (airfares at own expense). Transfer from Cairns Airport to your hotel in the beachside village of Palm Cove .

Day 2 (B, L)
Cruise the Great Barrier Reef and swim and snorkel from the comfort of a pontoon. View tropical fish darting through coral gardens and enjoy a tropical buffet aboard your cruise.
Optional Extra: Enjoy a spectacular bird's eye view of the Great Barrier Reef in a 10-minute helicopter flight.

Day 3 (B, L)
Journey to the World Heritage listed Daintree National Park . Spot birds and animals in this rainforest paradise with your guide. Cruise the Daintree River in search of crocodiles.

Day 4 (B)
Today is free for shopping or relaxing at your luxury Palm Cove hotel. For the active, options include golf, white water rafting, hot air ballooning or walking in the rainforest.

Day 5 (B)
After breakfast, transfer from Palm Cove to Cairns Airport for your departure flight (airfare at own expense).

Dramatic Red Centre 4 Days/3 Nights

Called the Heart of the Nation, the ‘Red Centre' is arid, dramatic, vast, a land of extremes and home of Uluru (Ayers Rock) Australia 's spectacular monolith. Participants will also discover other geological wonders such as Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), Kings Canyon and more. Walk around the base of this huge monolith, view a magnificent sunrise and discover its significance to the Aboriginal people.

Day 1
Transfer from your hotel to Melbourne Airport for the flight to Alice Springs (airfares at own expense). Visit Alice Spring 's legendary Royal Flying Doctor Service and School of the Air.

Day 2 (B, D)
Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges . Visit a camel farm and later stop to view majestic Mt Conner, before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. In the afternoon, tour to Kata Tjuta where there is time to walk to the Valley of the Winds lookout. View a magnificent outback sunset and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine, followed by a delicious barbeque dinner in the outback.

Day 3 (B)
This morning, journey by coach through sandhill country to Kings Canyon. Hike to the rim of this spectacular Canyon where you will be rewarded with marvellous views of the Watarrka National Park. Alternatively, enjoy an easier walk on the shady Canyon floor.

Day 4 (B)
Rise early this morning to catch the first rays of light over Uluru. Tour the base of the monolith with a guided walk into Mutitjulu Waterhole. Enjoy time at leisure to explore the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. Return to the resort before your departure flight, which must be booked to depart after 13:30 (airfares at own expense).

Reservations, Bookings And Final Details
Reservations should reach the Conference Managers no later than 5 September 2008 and full payment is required at this time. No space on tours will be reserved without payment. Bookings will be acknowledged and participants advised of final details. If minimum numbers are not achieved, alternative arrangements or a complete refund of the published tour price will be made.

Maximum Numbers
The number of participants on ALL tours is limited and places will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of payment.

Airfares
Domestic airfares are not included in the ground cost of the tour. Please contact the Conference Managers for suggested flight numbers and times for these tours.

Cancellation Fees
Prior to 5 September 2008 you will receive a full refund less A$100.00 administration fee. After this date no refunds will be applicable.

Terms and Conditions

These tours are designed by The Meeting Planners Destination Management (license No. 2TA001144), for participating delegates and accompanying persons attending the WONCA Asia Pacific Conference 2008. Only the best aspects of Melbourne and its environs have been incorporated to provide value for money for persons whose time is at a premium.

All sightseeing tours include informative English speaking commentary, all entry fees and meals where specified. Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended for all tours. For any outdoor tours we recommend that participants bring sun protection cream, sunhat and sunglasses.

All tours are based on a minimum number of participants. If minimum numbers are not reached, alternative arrangements or a complete refund will be made. Places on all tours are limited and will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of payment. Where participants cancel their tour bookings prior to 5 September 2008 , payment will be refunded in full. Thereafter, no refund will be made.
