OT1: Majestic Melbourne

This four hour coach tour is designed to give participants an orientation of the city. The tour includes visits to points of interest such as Queen Victoria Markets, Melbourne Cricket Ground and Olympic Park, Spencer Street Station, Federation Square , The Shrine of Remembrance, the Royal Botanic Gardens and Albert Park Lake and the Grand Prix site.

OT2: Royal Botanic Gardens
Date: Saturday 4th October 2008
Time: 10:30 – 14:30hrs
Cost: $165.00 per person
Based on a minimum of 20 pax

Melbourne appropriately calls itself the “Garden State” and the Melbourne Royal Botanic Gardens are certainly the finest Botanic Gardens in Australia .

This four hour tour gives guests the opportunity to discover the sweeping lawns and meandering paths on an escorted tour through the Botanic Gardens including the Aboriginal Cultural walk. A 2 course lunch at the Observatory Café sampling superb local produce is included.

OT3: Yarra Valley Food and Wine
Date: Saturday 4th October 2008
Time: 10:00 – 17:30 Cost: $180.00 per person
Based on a minimum of 20 pax

Visit world famous Yarra Valley for a day of Fine food and wine. Travel through the Dandenong ranges to arrive at the destination - the Yarra Valley . Visit 3 premier wineries for personalised wine tastings, sample local cheeses and enjoy a delicious 2 course lunch at a vineyard restaurant before returning to the city.

OT4: Penguin Parade to Phillip Island
Date: Sunday 5th October 2008
Time: 15:00 – 22:30
Cost: $170.00 per person
Based on a minimum of 20 pax

Phillip Island boasts two of Australia 's greatest natural attractions, Seal Rocks and the Penguin Reserve. This late afternoon tour features the Fairy Penguins at Phillip Island Nature Park and the Fur Seals. Depart Melbourne for Phillip Island , where the Little Penguins that nest there perform a “parade” every evening – emerging from the sea and waddling up the beach to their burrows. Be privy to one nature's most spectacular shows – a few minutes after sunset. The tour includes entrance to the Nature Park and access to the premium viewing area.

OS1: Dinner at the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant
Date: Sunday 5th October 2008
Time: 20:35 – 23:30
Cost: $135.00 per person
Minimum: 2 pax (or 36 for exclusive carriage)

Melbourne is known for its trams, leafy boulevards and grand culinary experiences. This three hour dining experience combines all these things. Onboard the lovingly restored and decorated 1920s tramcar, guests will enjoy a 5 course meal, including beverages, while the tramcar travels around Melbourne .

These tours are designed by The Meeting Planners Destination Management (license No. 2TA001144), for participating delegates and accompanying persons attending the WONCA Asia Pacific Conference 2008. Only the best aspects of Melbourne and its environs have been incorporated to provide value for money for persons whose time is at a premium.

All sightseeing tours include informative English speaking commentary, all entry fees and meals where specified. Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended for all tours. For any outdoor tours we recommend that participants bring sun protection cream, sunhat and sunglasses.

All tours are based on a minimum number of participants. If minimum numbers are not reached, alternative arrangements or a complete refund will be made. Places on all tours are limited and will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of payment. Where participants cancel their tour bookings prior to 5 September 2008, payment will be refunded in full. Thereafter, no refund will be made.
